ESOL Assessment Session

ESOL can help you improve your language skills if English is not your first language and you are living or planning to settle in the UK. The course is offered from Pre-Entry level (Beginners) to Level 2 (Advanced). The courses will help you improve your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as develop your understanding of grammar and your employability skills. Learners will also have vocational tasters in areas such as Food Academy, Construction, Art and Design etc and also undertake a qualification in Employability and Personal Development.

Our Admissions team will then be in touch to book you in for an assessment session to determine the most suitable level of study for you. Please be aware you need to attend an assessment and provide the evidence required before you can enrol on an ESOL or English course.

What do I need to bring with me to the assessment?

Please remember to bring the following documents and your fees, as you will be unable to enrol without them:

What will happen in the assessment session?

  1. You will complete activities to assess your skill level
  2. You will be sent a letter offering an appropriate course

During your assessment you will need to be in College for up to three hours.
