UCAS: 2027 Entry Application Deadlines

• 15 October 2026 6pm: Oxford and Cambridge application deadline

  Deadline for applications to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and for most courses in medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine/science. You can add choices with a different deadline later, but don’t forget you can only have five choices in total.

• 21 November 2026: West Herts College internal deadline for personal statement review

• 04 December 2026: West Herts College internal deadline for UCAS application submission

• 13 January 2027 6pm: UCAS Undergraduate application deadline

  Equal consideration date for applications for most undergraduate courses

• 25 February 2027: UCAS Extra opens

  UCAS Extra is another chance for you to gain a place at university or college, between 25 February and 01 July 2027. If you used all five of your choices on your original application and you’re not holding an offer, you’ll be able to add another choice using Extra.

• 30 June 2027 6pm: Final date for applications before Clearing

• 02 July 2027 6pm: Clearing opens

  From 2 July - 18 October 2027, you can apply for a course using Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places.

  You can use Clearing if:

  • You’re applying after 30 June 2027

  • You didn’t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept)

  • You didn’t meet the conditions of your offers

  • You’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application

  • 18 October 2027: Last date to add a Clearing choice 

• 23 September 2027: Final deadline for 2027 entry applications
