UCAS: 2025 Entry Application Deadlines

It’s important to be aware of the deadlines that apply to you when completing your UCAS application, to make sure you don’t miss any important dates. For Higher Education courses starting in 2025 your application should be submitted to UCAS by one of these dates – depending on what courses you apply for.

• 04 July 2025: Last day to add an Extra choice in your application

  Last day to add an Extra choice in your application

• 05 July 2025: Clearing Opens

  From 5 July – 21 October 2024, you can apply for a course using Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places.

  You can use Clearing if:

  • you’re applying after 30 June
  • you didn’t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept)
  • you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers
  • you’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application

• 20 October 2025: Last date to add a Clearing choice

For Higher Education courses starting in 2026 your application should be submitted to UCAS by one of these dates – depending on what courses you apply for.

• 29 April 2025: UCAS' search tool displays 2026 courses

   

• 13 May 2025: Undergraduate applications open for 2026 entry

  Undergraduate applications open for 2025 entry. You can register and start your application in your UCAS Hub. Applications cannot be submitted to UCAS until 02 September 2025.

   

• 13 May 2025: UCAT account creation opens

  The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is an admissions test, used by a consortium of medical and dental schools to help select applicants to their degree programmes.

  UCAT account creation opens. New candidates must create a UCAT account before they can book a test.

  UCAT Bursary applications open for candidates in financial need to apply for the UCAT Bursary to cover the full test fee. Once your Bursary Application is approved you will be given a voucher code to use when booking your test.

  Access Arrangement applications open for candidates who require extra test time, rest breaks or special accommodations. Your Access Arrangements application must be approved by the UCAT Office before booking your test.

• 17 June 2025: UCAT Bookings open

  You can now book your UCAT through your UCAT Account

• 7 July 2025: UCAT Testing starts

• 10 July 2025: Conservatorie applications open for 2026 entry

  You can apply for courses at the following UK conservatoires Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, LAMDA, Leeds Conservatoire, Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

• 02 September 2025: UCAS submissions open

  Completed undergraduate applications can be submitted to UCAS. You will need a reference before you can send your application.

• 16 September 2025: UCAT Access Arrangement deadline

• 19 September 2025: UCAT booking deadline

• 26 September 2025: Last UCAT test day

• 02 October 2025 6pm: Conservatorie application deadline

• 15 October 2025 6pm: Oxford and Cambridge application deadline

  Deadline for applications to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and for most courses in medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine/science. You can add choices with a different deadline later, but don’t forget you can only have five choices in total.

• 21 November 2025: West Herts College student's Personal Statement review deadline

  If you are a West Herts College student, your personal statement must be complete by this date to gi8ve you time to implement any feedback.

• 05 December 2025: West Herts College student's UCAS application review deadline

  If you are a West Herts College student your UCAS application must be complete by this date to give the college enough time to read your application, check you've entered your qualifications correctly, write and attach your reference, and submit your application to UCAS for the equal consideration deadline of 14 January 2026.

• 14 January 2026 6pm: UCAS Undergraduate application deadline

  Equal consideration date for applications for most undergraduate courses

• 26 February 2026: UCAS Extra opens

  UCAS Extra is another chance for you to gain a place at university or college, between 26 February and 30 June 2026. If you used all five of your choices on your original application and you’re not holding an offer, you’ll be able to add another choice using Extra.

• 30 June 2026: Last day to add and Extra choice in your application
