  • Entry Criteria

    4 GCSEs (A*-C/9-4), including English language or maths, or Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

    You will need to complete a DBS check.

  • What will I study?

    During your course you will study a wide range of subjects:
    • Developing effective communication within health and social care - identify sources of information and support or services to enable more effective communication
    • Sociological and psychological perspectives - study the application of sociological and psychological approaches to health and social care, and explore social inequalities, demographic change, and patterns and trends in social groups
    • Fundamentals of anatomy and physiology - understand anatomy and physiology in relation to all forms of health and social care methods and procedures
    • Research methodology for health and social care - explore the methodologies of contemporary research and investigate the implications for health and social care practice and services
    • Supporting individuals care needs - establish the principles and practicalities that underpin meeting individuals’ care and support needs, which are the foundation of all the care disciplines
