  • Entry Criteria

    3 GCSEs (9-3) including English Language or a relevant Level 1. You will need to complete a DBS check.

  • What will I study?

    Mandatory units include:

    • Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care – understand the concept and impacts of a person-centred approach
    • Human growth and development – understand the stages of development, as well as the factors that affect these stages
    • Safeguarding and protection in health and social care - understand legislation, policies, procedures and codes of practice in relation to safeguarding and protection
    • Communication in health and social care – understand the importance of effective communication, including confidentiality
    • Working in health and social care – understand the roles and responsibilities of the health and social care practitioner
  • Future Prospects

    Upon completing this course, you will be able to progress onto Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care .

    Further study and training will open the door to a variety of careers including:
