This is a fantastic course for people that love dance enough to pursue a career in the industry. We have a track record of producing dancers with diversity, dynamics and discipline. You’ll study a range of disciplines including ballet, jazz dance and urban dance, create work for real projects, and improve your skills ready tor employment. Join us and participate and perform in all aspects of dance while preparing for higher education or vocational dance courses.

Entry Criteria
4 GCSEs (9-4) including English, or a relevant Level 2 Diploma.
Don't meet the grades? Take a look at the Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts for a solid understanding of key areas - you will be able to progress to the Level 3 upon successful completion.
You will also be invited to a Course Introduction Meeting to showcase your talents to our course tutors.

What will I study?

• Choreography for live performanceOur interest in historical and contemporary dance works will see you learning and performing choreographed pieces you devise yourself. Enriching this creativity will be guest lecturers and trips to professional dance works.

• Intu WatfordYou will study towards the Level 3 Diploma (90 credits) in your first year, and progress on to the Extended Diploma (180 credits) in your second year.

Future Prospects
Progress to a Foundation Degree, BA Honours Degree in dance or dance related studies. Dance is a diverse and varied industry, with job opportunities including performing, teaching, choreography, dance administration and promotion.
