Access to HE Diploma (Social Science) (Q002518)

Our Access to HE: Social Science course is a nationally recognised qualification, designed for people who lack the formal qualifications required for direct entry into university. By studying these subjects, you will gain a better understanding of the dynamics of emotions, relationships and behaviours, whilst developing your essay writing skills to fully prepare you for the academic rigours of studying at degree level. You will be in college three days a week.

All of our Access to Higher Education courses are accredited by Gateway.

  • Entry Criteria

    Students must be aged 19 or older on 31 August to study Access to Higher Education courses, with GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) in English or maths, plus a range of assessments at interview.

    All students are assessed for their English and maths skills at interview. Some universities require a pass in GCSE Science - please ensure that you have checked the requirements for your chosen career path with your preferred higher education institution.

  • What will I study?

  • Future Prospects

    Following successful completion of this diploma, students will be able to progress to university to study a number of pathways, including psychology, sociology, social sciences and social studies.
