Our Level 3 Public Services students recently went on a residential trip to Condover Hall Activity Centre. The students participated in activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, raft building, orienteering and high ropes assault courses.
These activities are designed to test and improve the students’ teamwork, leadership skills and navigation skills, all of which are essential skills on their course.
Public Services tutor, Mark Pattinson said:
“Throughout the day, the students had to overcome nerve-wracking situations. This builds character for a career in the uniformed services, knowing they can overcome these barriers. This trip helped the students to develop their confidence. As a tutor, it was great to see the students in a different environment and seeing them thrive, it was a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their skills”.
