Registration Details
Who is this graduation ceremony for?
- This graduation ceremony is for West Herts College students who completed their Level 4 – 7 studies with us in summer 2024.
Do I need to register for my graduation ceremony?
- All graduates and guests are required to have a ticket as this is strictly by invitation only event.
When is the deadline to order my cap and gown?
- The order deadline is on Wednesday 8 January 2025.
I missed the deadline and did not register. Can I register on the day?

Venue
Where will my graduation ceremony taking place?
- Your graduation ceremony will be held at the University of Hertfordshire, De Havilland Campus, Weston Auditorium, Mosquito Way, Hatfield, AL10 9EU
Is there onsite parking available?
- There is very limited pay and display parking is available at the University of Hertfordshire de Havilland Campus. Click here for more information about parking on-campus. Tickets and Guest Tickets
Do I need a ticket to attend my graduation ceremony?
- Yes, graduates and guests are required to pre-register for the graduation ceremony.
When and where do I collect my tickets?
- You will be able to collect your tickets when you register your arrival at the University of Hertfordshire on the day of your graduation ceremony.
How many guest tickets will I be allowed?
- When you register for your graduation ceremony you will receive one free graduate ticket and can request up to 4 free guest tickets.
Can I request additional guest tickets?
- Yes, you can extra guests to your graduation ceremony. Once the graduation registration has officially closed, spare tickets will be allocated to graduates on a first-come, first serve basis. Please email your ticket request to

Are children allowed to attend the ceremonies?
- Of course. However, they will need their own guest ticket if they require their own seat.
Gowning and Photography
How do I book my gown for graduation?
- You will be able to book through our supplier Graduation Attire.
Can I book a photography package?
- Yes, you can book all photography package while booking your cap and gown through Graduation Attire.
Do I need to wear a cap and gown to my graduation ceremony?
- Yes, all graduates are required to wear a cap and gown to walk across the stage.
Where can I collect my gown?
- You can collect you graduation cap and gown on the day of your ceremony in our gowning suite at the University of Hertfordshire.
Can I make a change to my gown or photography booking?
- The gowns are supplied by Graduation Attire and you will need to speak to them directly. Graduation Attire can be contacted via their website.
What is the dress code for graduates and guests?
- Graduation is a formal occasion. We recommend smart formal dress for your ceremony. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking up and down the steps. Please note that shorts, denim and trainers are not appropriate attire for a graduation ceremony.
On the day
How do I register on the day?
- Once you have arrived at the venue, please head to the registration desk where you will collect your ticket and guest tickets. Registration is open from 1pm - 1.45pm. It is important that you register your attendance as you will be permitted into the hall without registering on arrival.
