Renee Ramsay-Nicol, Future Talent CSR Specialist at Computacenter, recently delivered an industry masterclass to the Level 3 Business students.
The masterclass was a great opportunity for the students to see Corporate Social Responsibility come to life and being used in industry, allowing the students to gain a deeper understanding of the internal decisions of a marketing department.
The masterclass gave an in-depth description of what Corporate Social Responsibility is, as well as an insight into CSR strategy. It also detailed the myths surrounding CSR, and the advantages and disadvantages. Renee also spoke about her own journey and how she got into industry.
Nabeel described it as ‘thought-provoking and very engaging’.
Tom said ‘I found the workshop very interesting. You rarely get to see the behind the scenes of what businesses have to face, when they’re thinking about what they have to do in marketing’.
Business Coordinator Phil Rowe said: 'Our students really benefited from an outstanding talk provided by Renee on Corporate Social Responsibility. Not only did the learners receive valuable information that will directly impact the standard of their coursework, but the enthusiasm and professionalism shown by Renee was infectious. Students gained tangible exposure to real life expectations and professional standards in industry. We would like to extend our thanks to both Renee and Computacenter for making this talk possible'.
