Meet Alex Walter, a recent graduate of the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
Having always known that art is something he wanted to pursue, Alex started on the Level 3 Art and Design course and progressed his way to the Foundation Diploma.
The course allowed Alex to meet a variety of different people, while exploring different mediums within the subject. This provided Alex with the time and freedom to decide what he wanted to do.
During the course, Alex developed a range of beneficial skills, from time management to determination and of course Harvard referencing!
Since completing the course, Alex is now studying Textile Design at Loughborough University. He praises his time at college for helping him to develop his confidence within himself, as well as his ability to write academically.
Alex’s advice to others considering the same path is:
“It may not seem like you are going to get there, but you will. Keep persisting and accept the form of medium you truly love and use it. Also reach out for support, the college was amazing for supporting me. You got this.”
