  • Entry Criteria

    Completion of the Level 1 Diploma in Electrical Installation or 3 GCSEs (9-3) including English and maths may enable you to start this course at Level 2 depending on your knowledge and understanding.

  • What will I study?

    The focus is on an all-round understanding of the electrical trade, so you’ll take a mix of practical and theory lessons – gaining a range of experiences and skills to prepare you for working life.

    You’ll be studying in our specialist workshops at our Hemel Hempstead campus, learning from tutors with years of professional experience.

    Course subjects include:
    • Electrical installation theory/technology - understand the underpinning principles, industry standards and requirements of electrical installation technology
    • Practical installation competencies - learn, develop and practice all the competencies of practical installation

  • Future Prospects

    Successful students can progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures). Possible careers include areas of electrical installation, including alarms, maintenance, heating and ventilation.
