    A current ECS Gold Card for:

    • Installation Electrician
    • Maintenance Electrician
    • Domestic Electrician

    Or

    Any of the following qualifications, plus the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification if your qualification was achieved more than 5 years ago:

    • C&G 5393 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
    • C&G 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical (installation or maintenance)
    • C&G 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (buildings, structures, and the environment)
    • C&G 2346 Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
    • C&G 2347 Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification

    The C&G 2921-34 EV charging course is designed for qualified electricians looking to upskill in the design, installation and maintenance of domestic and small commercial electric vehicle charging installations.

    This course is mainly a theory-based course covering:

    • Know the key documentation and legislation in relation to electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE)
    • Know the different types and features of EVSE
    • Understand design considerations for EVSE installations
    • Understand testing, commissioning and handover requirements specific to the installation of electric vehicle charging equipment and circuits in domestic and small commercial settings
    • Understand the use of vehicles as electrical energy storage systems as part of prosumer’s installations
