Entry Criteria
You do not require any formal qualifications for this course, however, you will need a knowledge of basic French, including the conjugation of verbs in the Present, Past (Passé composé) and Future tenses.

What will I study?
On this course you will:
- Hold transactional conversations in French about various topics covered during the course and write some basic information and instructions.
- Understand most general things said to them in conversations and transactions while being able to understand most written instructions.
- Understand some aspects of the way the French conduct their daily lives and some facets of French culture.
- consolidate the use of the three tenses- Past, present and future.
- learn about the Imperfect (l’Imparfait) and the Conditional tenses (Le Conditionnel) with the use of “Si”
These language skills will allow you to improve your conversational skills on everyday/familiar topics, with multiple opportunities for lots of speaking and listening practice. Your cultural awareness will also be developed in the course through the usage of video clips, songs and other authentic resources.
We strongly recommend students to study the vocabulary and grammar studied each week between classes in order to get the most out of this course.
As this is a leisure course, there will be no formal examination for students to complete.
What do I need to bring?
You will not need to bring in any specific materials. However, you will need something to take down notes, this could be a notebook or electronic device.
