  • Entry Criteria

    There are no formal entry requirements for this course, just a creative mind and an interest in flowers and floristry. This course is suitable for all abilities.

  • What will I study?

    From mastering essential techniques to exploring design principles specific to floristry, this course offers a hands-on experience and encourages you to develop your own style.

    You will learn:

    • Design principles
    • Colour harmony
    • Identification of flowers
    • Care and conditioning
    • Use of wiring in floristry
    • Manipulation of plant material

    Join us as we explore the beauty of spring flowers and discover contemporary and traditional ways to incorporate seasonal elements into your arrangements, that will result in a completed design at the end of each session.

    What you need to bring

    Details of the floral requirements for the first week will be email to you before your start date. A full list of flowers and sundries required for each week will then be handed out during your first class.

    You can purchase wires, tape, oasis and containers in class from your Tutor if required.

  • Future Prospects

    You will be encouraged to develop your own style and complete a portfolio of your designs. Useful for recreating your designs or to show potential employers if you wish to take Floristry further.

    You can also continue to develop your design and arrangement skills throughout the seasons on our Floristry Summer Designs and Floristry Autumn/Winter Designs courses. These courses run consecutively through the year and provide you the experience to get creative with the different arrangements and flowers available during each season.
