  • Entry Criteria

    GCSE English and maths grade 4 or successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation and able to demostrate working at/towards Level 2 in English and maths in an initial assessment.

  • What will I study?

    This qualification aligns fully to the knowledge, skills and behaviours in Installation and Maintenance Electrician (ST0152) standard and is assessed by practical, multiple choice questions and holistic assignments which cover the following areas:

    • Scientific principles
    • Inspection, testing and commissioning of electrotechnical systems and equipment
    • Fault finding and diagnosis
    • Electrical design practices and procedures
    • Organising and overseeing electrical work activities in buildings
    • Requirements for electrical installations to BS 7671
  • Future Prospects

    Once you have completed this course you'll be ready to progress on to: Electrotechnical NVQ Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment – C&G 2377
