    There are no formal entry criteria for this course and all skill levels are welcome.

  • What will I study?

    On this course, you will learn a variety of skills and techniques that will build your confidence in cushion making. To introduce you to the equipment you will be using during your course, an industrial sewing machine, you will start the programme by creating a simple carry-all bag which will enable you to practice the techniques that you will need later in the course. This bag will also double-up as your work pouch to store your course materials and equipment.

    On this course you will learn how to:
    • Select fabrics suitable for purpose
    • Measure and cut fabric accurately
    • Pattern match your fabric
    • Create and cut a pattern
    • Insert a closure zip
    • Create piping
    • Create sharp neat pillow corners
    • Create and install embellishments
    • Use an industrial sewing machine

    You do not need to bring any materials to this class. All equipment and materials required for your course will be provided.
