  • Entry Criteria

    GCSE English and maths Grade 4 (C) and/or a successful skills test and interview.

  • What will I study?

    Throughout this qualification, you will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety requirements, anatomy, physiology, and pathology and electrical science, alongside skin analysis and safe practice treatment protocols for facial skin care. You will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice.

    You will cover the below mandatory modules:
    • Maintain health and safety in the salon
    • Skin analysis and facial skincare
    • Consultation and client care
    • Anatomy, physiology and pathology
    • Electrical science

    On this course, you will be assessed via practical assessments, theory exams and portfolio work.

  • Future Prospects

    This course will prepare you for further training at Level 4 or above. Alternatively, with this qualification, you will be able to find a job in beauty salons, skin clinics, and health clubs.
