This course is designed for those who have already completed the Acrylic Paint – intermediate course or have a good knowledge and understanding of acrylic painting.

  • Entry Criteria

    You do not require any formal qualifications for this course just a creative mind and an interest in developing to paint using acrylics.

  • What will I study?

    On this course, you will discover and explore the versatile properties of acrylic colour, as well as, learn the advanced skills in the following:

    • Identifying and understanding various materials and brushes
    • Mixing colours to achieve accurate colour tones, tints and shades that represent the subject matter
    • Controllng your palette of paint using a range of brushes on painting surfaces (i.e. paper and canvas)

    You will also learn the advanced skills of

    • Adding shadows and highlights to acrylic paintings
    • Creating a background colour for acrylic paintings
    • Mixing colours
    • Complex acrylic painting ideas

    You will also have the opportunity to recreate a subject matter that will vary in the exploration of the paint. The subjects range from still life, life painting landscape, people and many other possible compositions

    You will also get to explore ideas using a painting material that is fun, easy to use and achieves great final results.
