What will I study?
During the programme, apprentices will study:
- Construction project management principles
- Health, safety and environmental management
- Construction technology and methods
- Quality assurance and building regulations
- Risk assessment and control measures
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Planning and organising work programmes
- Communication and team management
- Legal and contractual responsibilities in construction
- Maths and English (if required)
Learning combines workplace experience with structured off-the-job training delivered by the college.
To successfully complete the apprenticeship, apprentices must:
- Demonstrate occupational competence in the workplace
- Complete a portfolio of evidence
- Pass required knowledge assessments
- Achieve Functional Skills in Maths and English (if needed)
- Successfully complete the End-Point Assessment (EPA), which may include a project, presentation and professional discussion
