This apprenticeship equips you with the skills to support digital technologies in modern workplaces. You’ll learn to manage productivity software, digital communication tools, and office technologies essential for business operations.

  • Entry Criteria

    You will need to have GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths. You should also have an interest in IT and digital systems, good computer literacy and good problem-solving skills.

  • What will I study?

    During the programme, apprentices will study:

    • IT systems and hardware
    • Networking fundamentals
    • Cybersecurity principles
    • Cloud services and data management
    • Software installation and configuration
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
    • Customer service and communication skills
    • Business processes and digital environments
    • Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required)

    Training includes both workplace learning and structured off-the-job training with the college.

  • Future Prospects

    After completing this Apprenticeship, you can progress to:

    • Level 4 or Level 6 Digital or IT apprenticeships (e.g. Network Engineer, Cyber Security Technologist, Software Developer)
    • Full-time employment as a Digital Support Technician or IT Support Analyst
    • Specialist roles in cybersecurity, networking or cloud technologies
    • Vendor certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco)

    This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a long-term career in the digital and technology sector.
