Entry Criteria
GCSE Maths 9-2 and GCSE English 9-2.
In order to apply for an apprenticeship you need to have an employer and apprenticeship job ready to go.You need to have paid employment in an early years (0-5) setting for a minimum of 30 hours per week.

What will I study?
• Legislation, policy and procedures for working in early years settings
• Child development from birth up to seven years
• Contribute to the health and safety of babies and young children
• Safeguarding the welfare of babies and young children
• Supporting babies and young children with special educational needs and disabilities
• Supporting children’s communication, literacy and language development
• Understand partnership working for the benefit of babies and young children
• Promote the health and wellbeing of babies and young children in early years settings
• Supporting children’s learning through play
• Contribute to observation, assessment and planning to support children’s development
• Introduction to personal development for early years practitionersTo achieve the qualification, you will need to complete an end point assessment

Future Prospects
Progress into industry as a fully qualified Early Years Practitioner or progress onto Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
