  • How does the college ensure my child’s safety?
    We have a dedicated safeguarding team, on-campus security, and a range of wellbeing services to ensure your child’s safety. Our policies and procedures are designed to create a secure and supportive environment.

  • What is the college’s policy on attendance?
    Regular attendance is crucial for success. We expect students to attend all scheduled classes and notify us in case of absences. Persistent absenteeism may affect their progress and financial support.

College Life FAQs

  • How can I get involved in my child’s education?
    We encourage parents and carers to engage with us through progress meetings, direct communication with tutors, and participation in college events. Your involvement is crucial in supporting your child’s success. We also host Parent/Carer evenings across the academic year, it’s important that we have your support to ensure your child’s success, together we can provide a platform for every student to achieve their potential.

  • What are the benefits of attending an open day?
    Open days allow your child to tour our facilities, participate in course activities, meet current students and tutors, and get a feel for college life. It’s a great way to ensure they are making an informed decision.

Student Support FAQs

  • What support is available for my child’s wellbeing?
    Our Student Support teams are available both on campus and online to assist with personal challenges, mental health, and wellbeing. We also partner with Health Assured, a 24/7 support service offering trained counsellors and a mood-tracking app.

  • What financial support is available for my child?
    We offer various financial support options, including the Learner Support Fund, which can assist with travel, meals, and kit costs. If your household income is less than £40,001, your child could be eligible for additional support.

  • What should I do if I have concerns about my child’s experience at college?
    You can discuss any concerns directly with your child’s TPA Tutor, the Head of School, or our Student Support Advisors. We are committed to addressing any issues promptly and effectively, if ever you feel like your expectations aren’t being met and you’d like to raise a concern then you can contact our Quality department.

  • Can my child receive career guidance at college?
    Yes, our qualified Careers Advisors are available to help your child explore career options, plan their future, and understand the pathways available post-college. We know that young people often ask their parents/carers for advice, so you can also tap into our careers resources to give you the tools you need to provide advice confidently.
