Are you passionate about professional cookery and inspiring the next generation of chefs? Our thriving Food Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef Lecturer to join our team at the Watford Campus.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to teach and mentor students across Levels 1 to 3 in both Practical Cookery and Culinary Theory, including food safety, health & safety, nutrition, and employability skills. You’ll play a key role in shaping future professionals for the fast-paced hospitality industry.
You’ll also be responsible for running our College Training Restaurant, delivering real-world experience to students during lunchtime and one evening per week during term time.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years’ experience in the catering industry, ideally in a restaurant setting.
- Holds a Level 3 Professional Chefs qualification.
- Is enthusiastic about teaching and supporting learners of all abilities.
- Has a strong understanding of culinary theory and practical cookery.
- Is committed to high standards of assessment and feedback.
- Ideally holds a teaching qualification (training and mentoring available if not).
- Has experience in personal tutoring, target setting, and Functional Skills delivery (desirable).
