West Herts College alumni perform at Reading Festival
Former Music Practice students Dan Dorney and Ryan Potter, of four-piece band The Hunna, performed at Reading Festival for the very first time last weekend. The band, who describe their style as ‘turn-up, high energy rock’, made their debut on the Festival Republic stage. Of the event, they said to the Watford Observer, “It’s the first time for us performing at Reading. We’ve always watched it as kids, and seen so many of our favourite bands there.” The band’s plans for after the festival include rehearsing for their UK album tour in September, with plans to tour Europe and the US again before the end of the year.
Mike Duce and Ben Sansom from Lower Than Atlantis, who met and formed the band at West Herts College, also performed at the Festival for the fourth time since 2012. They also first performed on the Festival Republic stage, but this year performed the Main Stage for the second time and will be embarking on a 7-date UK tour in March next year.
