Watford General Hospital promotional video
Our Level 3 Media students have been busy creating a virtual tour promotional video for the Watford General Hospital Maternity Department. The students carrying out the project are Ben Hendeles (Producer), Liam Edgeworth (Cinematographer), Ntombana Moyo (Director) and Jake Masterton (Editor).
For this project, the students liaised with the hospital to plan, shoot and edit a virtual tour, showcasing the facilities and explaining what goes on in a maternity unit. It has been filmed and is currently in the final stages of post-production.
Our students have been responsible for the whole project, organising the production process, setting up client meetings and planning the shoots. They have been given creative license to come up with the overall concept and design the video.
This project is being carried out on behalf of WestHerts Productions, which is the new production company set up by our Media students. Live brief projects like this perfectly mirror the work they will be taking on as they move in to the industry.
Level 3 Media tutor, Jonathan Vianello, said: “Seeing the students taking on a large scale project like this one is extremely rewarding. It’s great that everyone is acting professionally and fully engaging with the clients. The fact that the students have communicated and arranged the whole process independently is incredible and I’m really proud of them. I’ve also seen the footage - it looks really promising at this stage.”
