Travel, Tourism and Aviation Industry Insights Month
It’s been a very busy but exciting month for our Travel, Tourism and Aviation students.
We all know deciding on a career path can be a challenge, and for many of our students they’re still unsure which path to take. Thus, we ensure all students are supported and given as much information to help them make the right choice.
‘Industry Insights Month’ was introduced to raise awareness of the wealth of career opportunities out there. Our students have been fortunate to attend activities from former West Herts College students who have gone on to succeed within the industry, employers from very successful businesses, and recruiters for jobs worldwide.
All our travel tutors have worked within the travel industry at some point, so we are lucky to have copious connections for our students.
Below is a summary of the month’s activities…

Dreamflight is a UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida. She loves helping people and delivering the best possible Customer Service to create that memorable experience for passengers. Jo spoke about the wealth of job roles within the travel industry, some include; check-in, flight monitoring, flight attendant, operations agent, crew schedule coordinator and the list goes on!
