Students Visit the Emirates Stadium
Our Level 3 Professional Cookery and Hospitality & Events Management students visit the Emirates Stadium, home of the Arsenal Football Club.
With a capacity of over 60,000, the Emirates Stadium is one of the world's most
breath-taking sporting arenas, not only as a pioneering football stadium, but also a groundbreaking meetings and events venue.
On arrival, students enjoyed a behind-the scenes tour. This included exploring the changing rooms, sitting in the commentator’s box and walking down the pitch tunnel.
Saskia Belkevitz-Foster, Hospitality student said: “It was really exciting to experience such a huge stadium. Today was really beneficial and will help me with my course and upcoming assignments.”
After the tour, students completed a Q & A session on the industry, with a particular focus on corporate hospitality at sporting events. Students then spoke to the Emirates Stadium events team about how they work with their clients to create events that are as inspiring as the setting.
During the afternoon, Professional Cookery students completed a cookery class in the Diamond Club, an exclusive and luxury area within the stadium, where membership is £71k per year! They prepared and cooked Dover Sole & Langoustine Bisque and Mango Cheesecake. Hospitality students experienced a mocktail masterclass, and got involved in an event planning exercise.
Sophie Davidson, Professional Cookery student explained: “Visiting the Emirates Stadium was a really enriching experience. The chefs were extremely professional, and I’ve learnt so much from the day.”
