Restaurant training and employability week
The Food Academy kicked off the New Year with a training and employability week in the Restaurant.
Students attended talks from industry experts and taken part in demonstrations and masterclasses.
Mark Vinall, Recruitment Manager at Ski Total gave a talk about what they are looking for in candidates working a ski season across Europe.
Mark went through all the amazing opportunities they offer young people in their ski resorts. The vacancies on offer range from working as a kitchen porter to hotel assistant with a lot of potential for promotion and progression. If successful, candidates could be working in Switzerland, Finland, Italy or the French Alps.
