Performance, Music and Media student's in-house production of Thriller
Take a look back at how Performance, Music and Media students at West Herts College celebrated spooky season in a ghostly way with a HUGE collaborative project that resulted in an in-house production of the classic ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson.
This project brought together three departments, nine courses and over one hundred Further Education and Higher Education students.
In just seven weeks our students worked hard to design and build the set, plot the lighting, learn the choreography, rehearse the lyrics, devise the scene, plan the shoot, prepare the makeup, organise the stills and record, mix and master the soundtrack. This was no mean feat!
Our students delivered this professional production under industry standards and by collaborating, provided a genuine experience of what working in the industry will be like. This production is a reflection of the skills-based nature of all courses that are delivered at the College.
Jonathan Vianello, Course Leader for Level 3 Film & TV said “After what has been a challenging two years for the creative industry, we wanted to demonstrate how perseverance and passion is what drives the industry forwards.”
