Our Aviation students complete their wet drills training!
On 23 November our Level 2 Aviation students travelled to Inspire Luton Sports Village, where they completed their water survival training with Monarch Airlines.
This is part of their 'Airline Emergency Procedures' assessment which teaches and prepares students for airline emergencies in the water.
Students were required to complete the following…
- Demonstrate their ability to swim a minimum of 50 metres unaided
- Fit a life jacket and demonstrate survival techniques for aiding and assisting passengers in the water
- Board a life raft and assist passengers into the life raft
- Demonstrate positive commands and communication skills to enable them to erect a canopy to provide shelter on a life raft
