Brand new - Part-time Level 2 Health & Social Care

Looking to get qualified in Health and Social Care? We've just added a new part-time course starting online in February, funding and financial support is available.

Social care is about providing physical, emotional and social support to help people live their lives. For various reasons and at different stages in their lives, some people need support to develop and maintain their independence, dignity and control. Social care provides a whole range of services to support adults and older people. If you go onto work in social care, you could find yourself helping people in their own homes, in residential homes or in a number of other places such as day centres or supported housing.

Together the health and social care sectors employ one in ten of the working population. With the NHS employing 1.4 million people, and the social care sector employing 1.6 million people, there is huge opportunity to work in the sector. This course provides a clear pathway into the Health & Social Care sector and it will give you the skills and it will give you the skills and expertise you need to progress into further qualifications or into an entry level job.

Employment and progression routes for health and social care students are numerous. You could go on to work in childcare, teaching, nursing, midwifery, community work, counselling, occupational therapy, criminology, social work, palliative care, and care for the elderly, to name just a few.
