New £1000 bonus for employers recruiting apprentices

Apprenticeships programmes give employees a chance to progress towards a qualification through work, and enable them to gain the skills they need to help them succeed in their chosen industry.

Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for both apprentice and employer. As an employer, you can get further help from the government to help fund your apprentice.
This July, the government announced an additional £1000 will go to employers that hire a new apprentice up until March 2021, in addition to the £1000 they already receive. This £2000 payment per new apprentice is a great incentive to take on an apprentice and there is no limit to the number of new apprentices the government will fund.

Hiring an apprentice is a proven way for employers to grow a talented worker and develop a skilled and qualified workforce. 9 in 10 apprentices stay on in their place of work after completing an apprenticeship, and 86% of employers say that their apprentices developed skills and knowledge relevant to their organisation.
