We’d like to introduce you to our Hairdressing tutors!

We are proud to have a professional team of tutors who are passionate about making a difference to the lives and careers of all our students.

Our tutors come from various backgrounds, each with something different to offer our students.

Amanda Delieu

Hairdressing Tutor

“I first started learning hairdressing at West Herts College on the adult evening course, and within five years I was teaching hairdressing at a local school, on the Head start programme for 14-16years. 19 years later, I am a well-established hairdressing tutor and thanks to West Herts College, I have completed my Certificate of Education and other relevant courses to level five. I have seen many students go far in their own careers which is very rewarding and gives me a great sense of achievement.”


Alberto Ucci

Media Make-up & Hairdressing Tutor

“During my extensive experience, I have built up a background in fashion having worked in catwalks, theatres, cinema and TV shows. Since 2013, I am established at West Herts College and teach the Level 3 Theatrical & Media Make-up and Level 2 Hairdressing courses.”





Jacqui Richards

Hairdressing Tutor

“I have worked at West Herts College as a hairdressing tutor since 2004. I am currently the NVQ Level 2 course co-ordinator. I have extensive experience in the hairdressing Industry, mainly from training and working at Vidal Sassoon’s in South Molten Street, London for eight years.”




Tina Castello

“I joined West Herts College in 2004 as a hairdressing tutor. My background is in hair and beauty and I have many years of experience working within the industry. I have a passion to help young people develop a career that will sustain them in their lives. I feel privileged to work with all our students and guide them through their learning journey. Some of my students have experienced great career success going on to work for Steiner on the cruise liners, careers in TV and theatre doing hair and make-up and setting up their own salon businesses.”


Debra Bullot

Hairdressing Tutor

“I began teaching in 2001 and I currently teach the Level 1 and Level 2 Hairdressing courses at West Herts College. I have been Hairdressing since leaving school. It started as a Saturday job, and then I joined John Lewis as an apprentice for three years. After completing my training, I worked in London for two years at Vidal Sassoon’s.”



Caroline Gibbs

Hairdressing Tutor

“I have broad experience in the industry including working in a salon and delivering training for a leading product manufacturer.  I currently teach Hairdressing at Level 1, 2 and 3. I thoroughly enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience to our students.”
