Susan Wright

Dance Course Leader

I trained in professional dance at Brooking School of Ballet, London, before dancing professionally for 4 years with a Jazz Dance Company touring Britain and the Middle East whilst performing as a backing dancer for hair shows and TV in between contacts. I gained Ballet teaching certificates and started teaching in Twilight Dance schools. After this I started working as an hourly paid lecturer at West Herts College whilst doing freelance dancing, choreographing and teaching, working for companies including Dacoja. I took on role as dance course leader at West Herts College in 2010, while still teaching in the community and attending as many dance classes as possible to stay current in dance practice.

Donna Weightman

Level 2 Performing Arts Course Leader

Having achieved a BA in applied Performing Arts, I went on to work within the Performing Arts Industry touring with West Midlands Children’s Theatre Company. I Volunteered with the Balmoral Theatre Company working with adults with learning disabilities. I worked as a children’s entertainer gaining crucial experience. Working at West Herts College has given me the opportunity to inspire young individuals looking to work within the industry. I am currently the full time course leader for the level 2 Performing Arts course.

Michael Neale

Performing Arts Tutor

Amelia Rendell

Level 3 Performing Arts tutor

I have a BA hons degree and Masters in Musical Theatre from Guildford School of Acting. I honed my craft working in fringe theatre, on touring shows and stages up and down the UK. I remain an active member of the industry, working on touring theatre shows, corporate events and running my own function band. These are all experiences I believe are integral in helping me guide students as they take their first steps in this exciting and demanding industry.  I joined West Herts College at the beginning of last year as a part time course leader and this year have made the leap to a full time member of staff, running the new level 3 year 1 acting and musical theatre courses. It’s always been an ambition of mine to teach and West Herts College enables me to mix my passion for the stage with my passion for learning.
