Hilton Careers Event
Our travel and tourism students were treated to an eye-opening careers day from Hilton.
Senior staff from Hilton’s head office set up a variety of workshops at our Watford campus, which gave students the chance to experience the roles and responsibilities of different departments within the business.
Staff from the engineering, brand performance, HR, finance and sales teams set up their workshops in the brand new business lounge, with a range of activities for students to interact with.
The finance team gave an insight to structuring hotel budgets, and sales asked students to guess the object in a bag, incorporating the idea of catering for all different types of customer.
The event was a great experience for students, networking with current working professionals, picking up tips and talking about potential work placement opportunities.

“Our office team is heading out to a number of colleges in and around Watford this month as part of our annual Careers@Hilton initiative, designed to inspire people to consider a career in hospitality.”
