GAPFest made a return for the second year running as Music Practice and Production Arts students came together in the hopes of putting on a fantastic event for students in celebration of the GAP programme.
With a variety of performances from a mixture of different pop, rock and acoustics bands, the GAPFest performers certainly did not disappoint the students that arrived in their masses.
GAPFest kicked off at 12 with an explosive entrance from Sliding Echo and followed with other talented acts such as: Biting Barlow, Victim Nostrils, Raised Brows and The Midnight Trio. The talent did not stop there, GAPFest also provided its own “street” performances just outside reception which saw acoustic sessions from various other solo performers.
The GAPFest after party continued at The Flag from 7:00 until 11:00 as a few more acts treated passer-by’s and pundits to a free gig again put on by the students.
Stephen Musket, a level 3 media student said: “I couldn’t believe how talented the guys who performed were. It was a joy to watch them”.
It certainly was an action packed day that was pulled off brilliantly by the various students and staff that made it possible. Bring on next year’s GAPFest!
