Where he started out as a personal trainer, but after demonstrating his value to the team management, Shane progressed into management at PureGym as an Assistant Gym Manager. This is a big jump for Shane to progress to management, in which he still has his personal training clients, along with the additional responsibilities that come with management.
As a former Active IQ student with career success, Shane provided an insight into what to expect:
"I took the opportunity to go back to talk to those who are in the same position I was once in. Coming into the sport & fitness industry is never easy with so many pathways to take, so giving extra information to those aspiring to go further was great. Speaking about my career & progression, business coaching and how to make contacts in this industry, allowed the students to see what was going to be asked of them moving forward."
