FIT 4 LIFE at West Herts College encourages students to stay active, have fun, try new things and feel healthy. We have a dedicated Leisure and Wellbeing team who are committed to keeping our students fit and healthy during their time at College.

Leisure and Wellbeing Coordinator
“Since university, I’ve been working within sports development for ten years. I have been fortunate enough to engage with thousands of fantastic young people during this time, by giving them the opportunity to participate in a variety of different sports sessions and events. We have recently grown our West Herts College provision to not just sports, but also different clubs and societies. The students are now able to get involved with different activities such as, creative writing workshops, e-sports, coding club, beat making, singing/song writing sessions and much more. This has helped create an environment where the students can interact and meet other people, learn new skills and enjoy their time here at College”.
Our aim is to inspire all students to engage with sport and physical activity.
We run a timetable of sports classes throughout the year to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, which cater for all interests and abilities. These include:
- Rock climbing
In addition to keeping fit, we also run activities throughout the year to raise awareness of healthy eating and mental health.
