Engineering student wows tutors with her 'natural talent'
Engineering student Molly has wowed tutors with her ‘natural talent’ and keen eye for detail whilst completing her Level 3 qualification at West Herts College.
Molly, who is currently studying Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering, has been taking on additional modules in Welding to expand her skill set and knowledge.
Hoping to progress to university after college, Molly has already received an offer from the University of Portsmouth to study Innovation Engineering.
Zalak, Molly’s Engineering course leader said: “Molly is a very bright, motivated and determined student. She always involves herself in all of our practical sessions and is willing to put herself out there to secure work experience in the industry.”
Molly has completed work experience with construction and engineering company Osbourne, as well as taking part in several trips and experience days with the Young Engineers.
Our GAP work experience facilitator Phoebe, who has worked with Molly on securing her industry placement, said: “Molly worked with a lady who runs an after-school clubs teaching primary school children about Maths, Engineering and Science through play.
“She helped out for six weeks at the school in Chorleywood, and then was asked if she’d like to return that summer for paid work. We’re really proud of her and can’t wait to see the amazing things she will go on to do.”
