2018 Art and Design Summer Show
Our 2018 Art and Design Summer Show showcased a variety of the best student work from within the College. The Higher Education work was displayed for two weeks before being replaced with projects from the Levels 1-3 students. The display took place in The Street at our Watford campus.
The students are displaying projects that they have been working on throughout the academic year, ranging from traditional mediums such as painting and sketching to animation, photography and graphic design.
Art and Design Programme Coordinator Hannah Gordon, said: “We are really excited to see the variety of outstanding work this year. The students have worked incredibly hard, and this is such a great opportunity for them to showcase their work in the public domain. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how much they’ve progressed throughout their time with us, and how much they’ve grown as young artists and designers.”
Foundation Diploma Art and Design student Dan Holland-King, produced a replica human sculpture out of tape. He said: “I utilised my creativity and design skills in an attempt to market and advertise the versatility of tape.” Dan was really pleased with the final product and hopes to go on to study advertising at university.
A variety of Higher Education students have had their work on display from different subject areas, including Photography, Art and Graphic Design.
Their work has been well received by members of the public so far. If you’re interested in Art and Design, discover our courses here.
