We are looking for a proactive and experienced individual to join our highly successful Student Support team. Working with potential and enrolled students you will deliver advice and guidance relating to a variety of subjects, aiding them to continue their education and be ready for work.
Student Support Advisors at the College have a shared responsibility for monitoring and supporting Looked After Children, Care Leavers and as well as those with mental health and wellbeing needs so empathy and wider knowledge of specific needs is important.
You will need to be well organised as the role will require you to support the service in accurate recording and monitoring of safeguarding and welfare concerns. The ideal candidate will have previous experience offering advice to 16–19-year-olds and vulnerable adults in a similar setting.
You will need to work flexibly within the team to provide a responsive service. It is essential that you constantly maintain and update your knowledge of the wider services and support available to our students to ensure you are providing advice and guidance of the highest quality.
The successful candidate will be required to work across our Watford and Hemel campuses. This is fixed term contract ideally starting in January until November 2023 in the first instance, working 37 hours per week.
