The Schools of Engineering and Building Services are looking for a full time Lecturer who can use their industry knowledge to help our budding construction management and civil engineers students to excel.

Are you a qualified and experienced Construction manager/ Civil Engineer or already a trainer delivering civil engineering or construction management programmes? If so this could be the role for you. This post will join supportive and enthusiastic teams based at our industry specific campuses in Kings Langley and Hemel Hempstead.

We are looking to recruit an innovative and creative individual with excellent industry experience and knowledge, to ensure our students are prepared for the world of work/progression to. Knowledge of quantity surveying would also be beneficial.

As well as the relevant experience, we are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for supporting learners to achieve their potential. You will need to be proactive, professional and above all be able to support students to develop in their vocation and wider employability skills, such as English and Maths.

The successful candidate will teach across a range of units, including Surveying, Mathematics in Construction, Project Management in Construction and Sustainable Construction.

The right individual needs to be flexible in their approach and willing to maintain an up-to-date understanding of developments within the engineering/construction industry, including legislation.

Teaching experience is beneficial but not essential, the college will support the successful candidate to gain relevant teacher qualifications.  If you are an experienced Civil Engineer or Construction Manager, we would love to hear from you too.

The closing date for applications is midday on Thursday 1 August 2019.  Interviews will be held in the week commencing 5 August 2019.

The successful candidate will join the Engineering and Building Services teams, based across the Hemel and Kings Langley campuses.
