Are you a qualified and experienced Carpentry Lecturer or do you have excellent experience in the construction/carpentry industry, ideally from a site carpentry background. If so, this could be the role for you.

We are looking to recruit an innovative and creative individual with excellent industry experience and knowledge, to ensure our students are prepared for the world of work and qualified to industry requirements. Ideally we are looking for someone with trade specific NVQ qualifications in Carpentry. If you have an Assessor or IQA award this would also be beneficial, however not essential.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver qualifications to students in both theory and practical applications and will be teaching across a variety of levels. This post will join a supportive and enthusiastic team based at our newly equipped Hemel Hempstead campus.

As well as the relevant experience, we are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for helping people of all ages and abilities to achieve their potential. You will need to be proactive, professional and above all be able to support students to develop in their vocation and wider employability skills, such as English and Maths.

Whilst teaching experience would be a benefit, it is not essential as teacher training is provided if you meet our other requirements. The right individual needs to be flexible in their approach and willing to maintain an up-to-date understanding of developments within the construction industry.

You’ll have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you’ll be actively encouraged to upskill.

You can access a wide range of discounts and benefits including a cycle-to-work scheme, free on-site parking, 35 days holiday plus bank holidays, time off at Christmas and early finishes on a Friday.

The closing date for applications is Friday 24th June 2022.
