The ALS team have opportunities due to enrolment for Hourly Paid Learning Advisors at Barnfield College.

We require Hourly Paid Learning Advisors to join our highly successful Additional Learning Support team. The team provides a range of support for students with a learning difficulty or disability, to enable them to access the educational opportunities offered by the College. 

You will be required to support learners at our campuses based in Luton and some community-based provisions. Your focus will be supporting learners in the classroom and assisting teaching staff to meet the needs of learners. You may also spend some time supporting learners in out of class intervention sessions.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of students. Keeping accurate, computer-based records is essential. Ideally you will be educated to at least Level 3 and have already worked with 16 to 19 year olds and/or adults with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities.

An understanding of the specific educational needs of such students within an FE setting is desirable but a proven enthusiasm for this area of work essential for this exciting opportunity.
