Exploring Performance Styles
You will learn a variety of practical acting techniques, underpinned with theoretical knowledge of different performance techniques and the historical context of the subject.
Creating Performance Material
You will use the skills that you develop to create performance material, working towards both devised and scripted performances in a range of styles including Children’s Theatre.
Performing as an Actor as part of an ensemble
You’ll perform various productions in College and at local theatres, taking your work to live audiences across or community. Alongside exploring the work of prominent practitioners, researching, analysing and contextualising their work.
Planning a career in the Performing Arts Industry
You will learn about the foundations and developments of the performing arts industry, employment opportunities, future of the industry and your place within it once you complete your course and move on to work, Drama School or Higher Education.
Assessment is taken in class and during performance, backed up with theory work and reflective journals, blogs, vlogs, films or log books.
