Foundation Studies
Transition
Introduction
This course is aimed at students who will be preparing to move into the community, work or supported work and is not an automatic progression route from Entry 2. This one-year course will develop skills for life and work. Students will work on various projects in College and the community, preparing them to develop their skills for life and work.
The transition course provides an opportunity for learners at Collett and Garston Manor who need a supported move from school to college to attend three days at college and two days at school. The course aims to familiarise learners with the college environment and develop the skills needed to access a full time college course in the future. Learners will work towards an OCR award in Life and Living Skills at the level appropriate for them.
