Sign Language

British Sign Language (BSL) is the sign language used in the United Kingdom (UK), and is the first or preferred language of some deaf people in the UK; there are 125,000 deaf adults in the UK who use BSL plus an estimated 20,000 children.

To have the ability to communicate with people with a hearing impairment, whether as part of everyday life or at work, can be extremely rewarding and essential.  Our sign language courses teach you the basic skills you need to communicate and achieve a greater understanding of people with hearing impairments – in addition you will learn more about the deaf community, culture and everyday language use.
