French Conversation Workshop - Online
Introduction
This online course is suitable for those who have completed our Pre-Intermediate French course or who already have a good knowledge of basic French phrases. You should already be able to conjugate verbs in the present tense, including stem-changing and irregular verbs, talk about plans for the immediate future (je vais aller/je vais visiter…) and have some knowledge of the present perfect tense (e.g j’ai fait/je suis allé(e).
This course is intended for anyone interested in building their knowledge further through online workshop style classes. You will have the opportunity to put what you have learnt so far into speaking practice in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment and so be able to improve your comprehension, pronunciation and, importantly, your confidence for when you are using your French in social and other real life situations.

Entry Criteria
A good knowledge of basic French, including the conjugation of verbs in the present and present perfect tenses, is required.
Our part-time provision is designed primarily for adult students, aged 19 and over. Students aged 16 to 18 may be allowed to enrol on the course at the discretion of the Head of Admissions and Head of School. If you have any queries please contact our admissions team on 01923 812345. -
What will I study?
You will expand your vocabulary and your use of verbs in various tenses, including using the preterit to talk about the past. Additional grammar covered will depend largely on the needs of the specific group. The workshops will focus on speaking practice, allowing you to improve your fluency and accuracy by chatting about everyday topics, giving opinions and debating. As you become more effective and confident, you will improve your ability to hold conversations with French speakers on familiar topics, discuss past experiences and tell anecdotes. Cultural awareness will also be developed.
It is strongly recommended that the vocabulary, phrases and grammar studied each week are reviewed between classes in order to get the most out of this course.
