Part Time Course code 7212

This course is suitable for those who have completed the Introduction to French course or who otherwise have a knowledge of basic French phrases and can conjugate common verbs in the present tense.

This course is intended for anyone interested in developing their basic knowledge a little further in order to be able to speak a little in the past and future tenses, not just in the present. It will allow for more effective communication with French speakers, perhaps when on holiday in French-speaking countries.

  • Entry Criteria

Knowledge of some basic French is required.

  • What will I study?

There will be some flexibility to tailor the specific topic areas to the needs of the group. Grammar will be studied to provide for progression in the language but there will be plenty of opportunity for practising speaking skills.

No materials other than a pen and paper are necessary. It is strongly recommended that the vocabulary and phrases studied each week are reviewed between classes in order to get the most out of this course.

  • Future Prospects

This course will enable students to develop their basic knowledge of the French language, allowing them to use past and future tense as well as the present tense, and to hold basic conversations using the learned language.
