Level 7 CIPD Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management
Introduction
This two year course leads to the most widely-recognised professional qualifications in the field of HR and development. Set at postgraduate level, it is also CIPD’s highest level of qualification. Completing this qualification will enable you to develop your breadth of knowledge and specialise in your chosen area.
CIPD Advanced Level qualifications enable you to learn how to develop and implement creative and strategic HR solutions that drive organisational performance. You will also be able to develop your understanding of organisations and the external context within which HR operatess.

Entry Criteria
Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent plus a good level of HR experience. A prior degree-based educational background would be beneficial.

Our part-time provision is designed primarily for adult students, aged 19 and over. Students aged 16 to 18 may be allowed to enrol on the course at the discretion of the Head of Admissions and Head of School. If you have any queries please contact our admissions team on 01923 812345. -
What will I study?
This Advanced Diploma is offered over two academic years and consists of four core and four optional subjects. These include:
Year 1 Core subjects are:

Human resource management in context (this subject has an exam)

Developing skills for business leadership Optional subjects are:

Resourcing and talent management

Understanding and implementing coaching and mentoring
Year 2 Core subjects are:

Leading, managing and developing people (this subject has an exam)

Investigating a business issue from a human resources perspective Optional subjects are:

Organisation design and organisation development

Employment law
There are two CIPD-set exams, with the remaining assessments being via workshops, a management research report and CIPD set written assignments. You will be encouraged to undertake additional independent study and learning activities of at least eight hours per week.

What can I do next?
On successful completion of this Diploma, you are automatically awarded Associate Membership of CIPD. Chartered Membership is awarded on evidence of application.
